Situated on the banks of the Swan River and reasonably close to the airport. Coming from the airport you have to do a U-turn on the Great Eastern highway because of the median strip, but the road has been built to allow it. There is an Acrod parking bay by the entrance to the hotel. Off the reception is the wheelchair accessible 150 East Riverside bar and restaurant.

They have a superb two bedroom apartment modified for wheelchairs. The apartment comprises kitchen (some low bench space and reachable appliances), dining and lounge. There is a large balcony, which is large enough for a table, chairs and wheelchair. It has great views of the river and thoughtfully, has a small ramp onto the balcony.

The main bedroom (double) is a bit tight, but I squeezed in ok. The second bedroom (2xsingle) has more room. The bathroom is nice and roomy, with hand-held shower, shower seat and disabled friendly fittings.

Helpful staff and handy location make for a good choice. Recommended.

AccommodationThe first floor disabled rooms are accessible by the lift. The rooms are large and roomy, and provide good wheelchair accessibility. I noted there were no power points on the bed wall, which could be a problem for example if you use a vpap at night. You will need an extension cord.

The bathroom is also large and roomy, with shower seat, hand-held shower and handrail. An added bonus is a bath. While very uncommon for a disabled room and not suitable for disabled, it is great for your partner.

The hotel facilities include restaurants, a food court, an Irish Pub and a casino. All the facilities are wheelchair accessible and there are a few disabled toilets dotted around the place.

There are 20 accessible parking bays located at the rear of the Burswood Hotel (west side - entry through slip road between carpark 4 and Genting Palace Restaurant). There are also 6 parking bays in the undercroft area.

Located on the banks of the Swan River, and with views of the city skyline the resort is surrounded by a park. The adjoining Burswood Park is the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll or enjoy the bird life. The park features wheelchair friendly footpaths, a children's playground, and a disabled toilet situated near the fountain.

Great amenities, helpful staff and lots to do. Recommended.

Situated right next door to the Burswood entertainment and hotel complex.

The hotel has one Acrod parking bay directly in front of the entrance. I noted that the valet parking often used the bay, but upon asking they were quick to allow me to park next to it. There is a restaurant and bar called Sirocco next to the entrance, which is wheelchair accessible.

The disabled room was not overly large and I could only get to one side of the bed. The bathroom was roomy enough with disabled toilet, rails, shower seat and hand-held shower. There was no bench top around the basin for putting your toiletries, which I think would be a nuisance.

Handy location if you are attending a nearby show or concert. Ok.

Situated at the east end of the CBD, quite a distance to the shopping precinct, but handy to the river, Langley Park and the cricket (WACA). There is a free inner city bus service that runs to the shops from Hay Street, which can take wheelchairs. I tried the Cat buses and found them easily accessible. There is free guest parking under the hotel, accessible by lift.

The hotel has only one disabled room without a barrier to the shower. The room has plenty of space for the wheelchair, but the bathroom has limitations. It is only a standard bathroom with the bath removed. As such it is very tight for a wheelchair. I could drive in and back out only, and the space around the toilet is also limited. I just managed, but it would not suit all – you would need to have some transfer ability. There is no fixed shower chair, an adjustable one is provided on request. There is a hand-held shower.

The Hyatt complex is quite a maze of lifts and corridors, but if you can find your way to the attached mall it is worth the trip to visit the Friends restaurant at the end, about two hundred metres. The restaurant is not ideally suited for wheelchairs, although accessible, but the staff will make room for you and you will enjoy some of the finest food, wine & service.

Although with some limitations in the bathroom, which must be considered, I did find the hotel staff helpful and the overall facilities okay.

An ideally located hotel in the Perth CBD close to the main shopping arcade and next to His Majesty’s Theatre. The hotel roadside set down area has no ramp to the footpath so caution is needed to move via a crossing up onto the footpath. There is an inviting restaurant/café/bar next to reception called CBD, which has good access and a disabled toilet at the rear.

The hotel has three disabled rooms. The rooms are not overly large, but I was able to move around in the electric wheelchair including down both sides of the bed.

The bathroom is roomy enough, with disabled fittings, shower seat and a hand held shower. Drive in shower. One little challenge in the bathroom is that the shower tap is on the opposite wall to the shower, about two metres apart. Not a problem with a carer, but you would have to turn on and adjust before hopping in if you were alone. Not ideal.

I found the staff to be helpful and overall the hotel to be very inviting, particularly the central location. Ok.
